Smart Inventory Management System

Delivered a comprehensive asset tracking, inventory control and field force enablement application supporting online and offline modes for transaction processing.

Key Challenge and Outcome:

Transforming a fully paper based system to a digital tool across multiple agencies

The challenge at Visionstream was extensive as there were significant losses reported in “lost” parts during movements, data log accountability and actual billed hours by contractors and sub contractors. The tool had to address and resolve a number of interdependent/dependant/independent elements across Warehouses (Visionstream and contractors), Field staff. NOC centres and Field Managers. The tool was also built to challenging considerations such as outdoor environments (sunlight), simple bar coders, light carry on equipment on towers. A comprehensive hardware and software package was delivered after 9 months of ground up development and engagement.

TAFE Resource Central

A platform that supports collaborative content building for the Vocational education sector in Victoria(Australia)

Key Challenge and Outcome:

A distributed team of about 15 core content developers and about 100+peripheral educationists were funded by the Department of Education and Training to assemble 200+ educational content units in Moodle in a 1-year timeframe. This required an agile process that supported remote inputs and feedbacks for content being built and at the same time make the content available to 1000+ educators in the vocational sector. the platform was designed and developed in 16 weeks.

Clinical Physiotherapy

CPMate was a tablet-based application helping physiotherapists to record and analyse data points of their patients over a period of time. 

Key Challenge and Outcome:

Physiotherapy data at the DMA centre was stored in paper files and a large quantum of the data points captured over several years was not utilised for analysis and calibration of exercises. The DMA centre had constantly improved its practices to reduce insurance claims arising from the need to perform surgical interventions. This evidence had to be backed by data and hence CPMate was born. This simple tablet application provided clients and physios a simple interface to record interview points and constantly view and delivered analytical views of several client groups.

AR Experience Portal

8AR would provide SME to use a SaaS based platform to sign up and create AR experiences on the fly through a simple mobile application.

Key Challenge and Outcome:

Beyond the “wow” of the Digital Disruption

AR/VR was predominantly seen as a creation of a “wow” factor for the end customers without a sustainable value or benefit model for the organisations. The ROI of the AR/VR model was questionable. We successfully established the ROI model for all our engagement to ensure sustained use and growth of AR/VR in the organisations. These included business savings and faster turnaround times in internal staff training, awareness campaigns, yearly product campaigns-which can use repeatable infrastructure and hence deliver ROI over a period of time. The 8AR experience portal established the case for SME to enter the Frontier technology space.
